2025 Interior Design Trends You’ll Actually Want to Try

If you’ve ever wanted your home to feel like it belongs in a magazine but still feel personal, this year’s interior design trends are for you. From rugged cowboy vibes to refined materials and the art of mixing old with new, 2025 is all about creating spaces with soul.

The trends for 2025 have developed over the last couple of years with ideas like open plan living becoming less and less popular. Homes are our havens now more than ever, so this year’s trends focus on making your home somewhere you really want to be. From cowboy chic to vintage pieces, these styles invite you to experiment and make your space uniquely yours.

Western Cowboy

Shows like Yellowstone are taking over the internet, and for good reason. We’ve seen the Western influence in fashion over the last few years, and now it’s moved into our homes.

Warm, earthy textures layered with deep, muted colours and organic materials create a beautiful blend of Western charm with a contemporary feel.

Material Drenching

We’ve seen colour drenching have it’s moment in 2024. This year we’re making a commitment to our favourite patterns and materials and letting them shine across an entire room.

The key to this trend is layering other materials throughout the space. Mixing a wooden clad room with linen upholstery and matte metals will create contrast and keep it interesting.

Pieces With a Past

Refurbished and antique pieces are everywhere this year. Adding accessories and furniture that have a story can immediately create a more interesting and personal space.

The best way to do this without living in a time capsule, is to combine vintage pieces with contemporary rooms. For example, adding a contemporary dining furniture to a classic, architecturally detailed room will immediately create visual interest and contrast.

Warm, Intentional Lighting

If you’re looking for a lighting upgrade that doubles as art, smoked and amber glass is the way forward in 2025. These rich, moody tones soften the light in your space and bring a cosy, golden glow to your home. It’s the kind of small detail that helps a space feel high-end without trying too hard.

Starting with pendant lighting is the way to test out if this trend is for you, but if you’re making a bigger change I’d personally love to see smoked glass used as part of a room divider or as a glass panel in a hallway.

Matte Silver

Cool, quiet and understated - we’re saying goodbye to shiny chrome and hello to matte silver. This subtle finish is simple, timeless and endlessly versatile.

We’re using matte silver hardware in an antique style in a current living room project to give a modern twist to vintage pieces. Use this finish to add a sleek touch to your space, especially when paired with warmer tones like amber-stained glass and wood.
